About the Project
Vila Emily is a sensitive renovation of a historic First Republic villa in Prague's Rokoska quarter. The architecture of the almost century-old house naturally meets the demands of modern living without losing its original character.
The result is a collection of just eight exceptional homes combining generous layouts, high ceilings, privacy, timeless materials, and modern technology with an atmosphere no new build can recreate.
Vila Emily is not a development project in the usual sense. It is the renewal of a house designed from the very beginning as an exceptional place to live, now ready to continue its story with a new generation of owners.

The layouts are not uniform. They are organic and full of surprises. Curved walls and alcoves create fascinating rounded corners and bathrooms with natural daylight.

Architect
The villa was designed by architect Karel Pecánek, a significant figure of Czech architecture in the first half of the 20th century. His work includes the modern extension of the Spanish Synagogue in Prague and was praised for its exceptional feel for proportion, light, and timeless elegance.
These principles remain visible in Vila Emily to this day. Generous ceiling heights, natural light, thoughtful layouts, and harmonious proportions are no accident. They come from an era when houses were designed to serve generations.
